I don't know if anyone has mentioned it but the funniest way to get rid of Emrakul is intrepid hero a tap is just enough, you don't even have to wait Emrakul's attack (like deathtouch) or... even... spend mana!!! just love to do that in casual...

Would a Leyline of the Void cancel it's going into the graveyard effect? Because if it does, then a mill deck would need Leyline of the Void to avoid being destroyed by this beast. It would at least give a mill deck a fighting chance.

Under "sets and legality" this card is still legal for commander. That should be fixed.

hmmmm.... Archon of Justice, Phyrexian Ingester, Day of Judgment, Spine of Ish Sah, Teysa, Orzhov Scion, Voidstone Gargoyle, Clone, Serendib Sorcerer, Gather Specimens, Roil Elemental, Necrotic Plague (of course not the first choice when you cast this spell), Giltspire Avenger, Oblivion Ring, Journey to Nowhere
This is just a list of cards off the top of my head that can and WILL deal with this Eldrazi.
Funniest thing to do is: Cast Journey to Nowhere or Oblivion Ring, once it resolves and enters the battlefield the first ability hits the stack, simply stack a Naturalize or some other card that destroys an enchantment at instant spee... (see all)

wow that is depressing I got first comment and it was deleted along with every other comment I did for Eldrazi cards. But the important thing is has anyone noticed its name can be shortened to EAT? cause it eats games I guess
@tabqwerty
You know that protection from colored spells, doesn't actually do anything when its a creature card in a deck? You also know that Polymorph doesn't:
Deal damage to EAT
Enchant EAT
Block EAT
Target EAT
It doesn't do any of that when it flips cards and puts Emrakul into play, you can't cast Polymorph on Emrakul, but the effect can put him into play.
Lastly, you know a bunch of people play a deck like this right? I dunno how many people could get break the rules...

I have turn four hardcast Emrakul. That is what elf decks are for, though admittedly the odds of me ever getting that hand again are really slim.

The way the Eldrazi block was done flavor-wise was exceptionally clever: multiple cards printed in the earlier two sets have potent effects that are rendered powerless against the Eldrazi. Examples:
1) Iona, Shield of Emeria lets you bar a colour. That's just dandy.
2) Terra Eternal won't save your lands from being sacrificed
3) Agadeem Occultist is a minor example, but the CMC of most Eldrazi is prohibitively high.
4) Anowon, the Ruin Sage will be making a full-on Eldrazi deck sacrifice an Eldrazi Spawn token every turn rather than doing anything useful.
5) Brave the Elements, although that was probably unintentional since it's a pretty standard utility.
6) Deathless Angel's indestructibility fails to protect creatures from annihilator. (This is a common theme among the set's angels, the reason being that most of them were supporters of the "gods" which turned... (see all)

Funny that a giant flying spaghetti monster dies to a little tiny spider (Deadly Recluse).
But yeah, the spider dies too.

i find this card very easy to get out so i use it in my eldrazi deck which is very good because i can always get powerful creatures out with relative ease.
