When I got this card, I was convinced that it was THE prettiest piece of cardboard I will ever own. And I have yet to be proven wrong.

I like the Legions art better :/ One of my top ten favorite cards of all time though, and second favorite character after Memnarch.

I have the same reaction to this as I do to 90% of the cards chippy illustrated: why isn't Wizards commissioning more art from chippy, the second-best Magic illustrator after Rebecca Guay?
Someone dropped the ball changing the flavor text, though.
No rest. No mercy. No changing the flavor text. No matter what.

The art, the foil, and the modern card frame all make this the most amazing-looking printing (so far) of one of the game's most iconic creatures. But I have a major gripe with it - the flavor text. What happened? Even her memorial reads "No rest. No mercy. No matter what."

4/5
The card is epic!
Amazing abilities on a tank body and the art is beautiful to boot. Why not 5/5? One simple reason; my utter hatred of foil cards. I think it was the dumbest things WotC ever did. I don't mind random foils as much as I toss them aside (or trade if they have value) but printing certain cards in ONLY foil? Even worse is the "Premium" constructed decks. It means I have to pay MORE to get a non-foil Entomb. Damn you WIZARDS!!! Ok I feel better now. Besides all that she's great...I'd still buy the older versions though.

Ironic that chippy drew this and then drew Doom blade killing her.

This version, imho, looks rather blah. Maybe it's because the old art has become to iconic to me but I feel like the face and hair in this version is just off. The wet clingy hair looks better on a zombie than an angel and her face shows no emotion which I find odd for a being known as the Angel of Wrath.
Some like the eerie soulless look of this version and I can respect that, I just don't agree. I am glad that both versions exist, though this is one card I'm happy to own an original version of.
As for the card itself, I love it. It's not often that I have her hit the table and not end the game shortly thereafter; she's my favorite angel and the measuring stick I compare most finishers to.
