Ok, so this seems to be the only card immune to people hating on the reprint art.

But, even if somebody wanted to complain, I finally have an explanation. Check out Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Angelic Arbiter, and Balance. This is a much more 'White' Akroma than the original Legions one. In some ways, Akroma, Angel of Fury was simply putting the old Akroma in the correct card frame.

Akroma is pretty damn badass either way.

EDIT: it has been a long and prestigious career for Akroma, but I suspect that Avacyn, Archangel of Innistrad (also known as Sorin Markov's Galatean girlfriend), may finally top Akroma as the most powerful Angel in Magic. Judging by Vault of the Archangel we are already looking at Flying, First Strike, Vigilance, Lifelink, Deathtouch, Protection from Vampires, Werewolves, and Zombies. That really seems actually reasonable, unless they make her a Demon-hoser instead/as well? I wonder what the mana cost and power/toughne... (see all)

The new art is stunning and this card is still as dominant as it ever was, even in lieu of its recent Angelic competition in the form of Baneslayer Angel. The one thing that remains a mystery is, what was Wizards thinking when they released Divine vs Demonic? Akroma, Angel of Wrath is perhaps the greatest testament to how utterly imbalanced this Duel Decks series was - the Black deck simply cannot contain the domination of Akroma, especially considering she has protection against anything the Demonic crew can throw at her...

I agree that this new artwork is to harmonic compared to what Akroma is. I really don't like it.

And to Darkfury about flavor text, if anyone has read the book they would know Akroma was created just to kill 1 person. Which is very bounty hunter like.

I have a question can you use Divine VS. Demonic cards in tournaments or Friday night Magic?

The first time I saw this card, I looked at the text box and did a double take. I still have trouble remembering the half dozen abilities on her. Most keyword abilities ever on a creature? (other than the Sphinx of the Steel Wind, which is just an artifact version of her)

This art is horrible. The face isn't done right and the rest of the art isn't Arkoma at all. This is why people have stop playing and buying Magic the Money Hungry. Her hai isn't supposed to be like that, seriously. Why, why would anyone want to commision that piece of crap, and who let some crappy artist attempt to do her like that? Who also gave chipy the art direct, and de***ion. Whoever did, should be fired for and sent to jail for MURDER.
