Slivers were always about evolution.
In M14, Galerider Sliver sees the dawn of the day, and it absolutely out-slivers Winged Sliver.
You could call it Natural Selection, if one were to use some flavorful euphemism for power creep.

Pure ridiculousness in a Sliver deck. I think the only reason this card got printed at 2 mana is because your most likely going to drop it for the win anyway, so its mana cost doesn't quite matter. Still, on the off chance of a Mana Leak/Rune Snag/etc., the low mana cost is still a great benefit.
Generally, you're better off dropping a Spinneret Sliver instead of this guy early game because the Spinneret doesn't provide evasion and therefore won't get nuked the second it hits the field.

Re: They're meant to be a five-color type.
Actually, going white-blue and nothing else is a totally valid sliver strategy.
Sidewinder Sliver and Plated Sliver for one-drops. Sinew Sliver for muscle. Crystalline Sliver to protect them and of course this card to finish your opponent off.

@thewalkingdead It's meant to be a five colored creature type. Get over the fact that you lost to it once upon a time.

I like Shadow Sliver or two-headed sliver to punch through for my poison victory via stacked Virulent slivers, but this is just totally crazy.

I still prefer Shadow Sliver as the "now I kill you" turn drop, it's MUCH harder to stop in combat, but if the attack fails you're probably dead.

Great sliver especially since it has a low mana cost
