I was wondering does this card effect your creatures as well? It does doesnt it? Sorry Iv only been playing for a about a year so still somewhat new at all this.

This card is pretty good. As far as I can tell, it's the ONLY card in all of Magic that can kill a Storm Crow, and the only way save your tail if I can get all 4 out.

Used to run duress because of this, but with duress the opponent would either have 4 different targets, or none at all, depending on the deck. That is why i switched to mind sludge. This seems to be undercosted on purpose, much like money sculptor and bankslayer, except this is affordable.

There was a very long time where every decent kill card had a regeneration clause. And did ANYBODY play regeneration during that time?

This card is FAR superior to Damnation or Wrath of God due to the fact that this doesn't ban out regeneration. If you play this, and have a nice enchantment (or good creatures), you can regenerate all your creatures, while still doing masses of damage to the opponent.
