Why doesn't this say Lifelink? Isn't it the same thing?

Perhaps, but still as awesome as ever.

Do you gain life for the damage that gets through to the defending player by trample? or all the damage the creature deals even if blocked?

I just like it for the art.

This + Shield of the Oversoul on something of the appropriate colors for a very scary creature.

Amazing for casual. Casual doesnt pack that much removal. I doubt it's constructed-worthy though just because you'll get 2 for 1ed a lot.

This card is so Selesnya, that I wonder why never get a reprint in neither of the Ravnica blocks.

Exalted Angel life gain and a Rancor type offensive...niiiice. Behemoth Sledge is fun as a somewhat functional reprint, but don't forget Loxodon Warhammer...and Batterskull.

Also, can be used as a form of soft removal on an opponents attacker.

Alright, I know that multiple instances of lifelink are redundant. And I know this paired with lifelink gives you life gain equal to double the damage dealt. But are multiple instances of "whenever this creature deals damage, you gain that much life" redundant?
