Throw a Primal Cocoon on this. Since both abilities trigger at the same time, you can choose to have the counter resolve first, then immediately move it to whatever you want. You can even put counters on your opponent's creatures to use Cytoplast Manipulator.

Great in a modular deck. Good in any deck for a multiplayer game.

This is the center of my Green deck. An excellent, and under-appreciated card. Goes great with Forcemage Advocate, Spike Feeder, Algae Gharial, and can work wonders in decks with lots of low 1 or 2 drops. The counters just stack.

Will Doubling Season double the counters when they are moved from the Ancient to another critter? If so, AWESOME.

This guy lets an Animar deck go nuclear on turn 5 instead of turn 12. Or he rebuilds Animar quickly after a board wipe. He's worth including in the deck and worth including a tutor to go find him.

Doubling Season. Despite the "no mentioning Doubling Season" rule, I think we should make exceptions for cards that are doubly (read: quadruply) good with Doubling Season.
If you have two of these out with a Doubling Season, you could move counters from one to the other every turn, essentially doubling the number of counters you have each turn without having to cast a spell.
