Wurmcoil Engine, Pelakka Wurm, and now this? Does every wurm have to be so good with Flash?
Also, now that I've had the chance to play against this card, I see why they didn't make it legendary for a number of reasons. Mechanically the legend rule would probably be abused on this fella, but also I think a big part of its nonlegendary status is it doesn't feel legendary. It feels like a big green fatty that might happen every once in awhile.

Why the hell does Ravnica still exist if several of these things are tunneling around??? This thing is the equivalent of a Great Old One!!
And DLoFunk, playing this with Flash is absolutely ridonkulous.
Finally, i shall note this has the same mana cost and color weight as Polar Kraken, while being +4/+4, coming into play untapped, having NO drawback AND replacing itself pretty much when it dies.

So this will be my first post ever. I have this to say out of sheer interest in the artistic quality of this image. I dragged it off to illustrator and zoomed in. It's hard to see but coming out of the wurm's mouth is another wurm that has another wurm on it. Either they though it didn't look nice and hid it behind the fog (like many players will in game) or they're going for a progenitus touch which if I understand protection the way I know I don't it'll take him down.

Well, Emrakul and friends WERE imprisoned for XXXX years. I don't find it hard to imagine him weakened a bit, still groggy from something that probably doesn't happen often to ancients such as him.

I like the art. Sure, 11 mana is a lot, so it is unplayable in limited. But in Commander it might be fun.

@maxmwb: Pithing Needle won't work with this card. The needle only affects activated abilities. This is a triggered ability.
