Vampires are ridiculously good in standard now.

Is the nighthawk overpowered? Probably.

Will I be playing the shit out of them? Definitely.

If you look really closely, you can find mystifying maze in the background, only noticed it cause i had it as a wallpaper.

While widely cursed and considered "powercreep", the truth is this card hasn't broken any formats the first time around, and probably will not do so now. It will surely find its place in Vampire tribal decks, especially since M13 also heralds the return of the best Vamp lord ever made, but in the end, despite all its useful abilities, Nighthawk is still 2 power for 3 mana, with no removal protection whatsoever (well, except for Doom Blade). It will pop up in tourneys here and there, but Delver it is not.

And thank gods for that.

Yes! He made it into the core set! Hopefully a staple for years to come. Also, would love to see him lose the reminder text and just say "Flying, deathtouch, lifelink"

By far and away my favorite Vampire ever printed. Dropped him back into my Vamp deck when he reprinted, and started just walking all over my friends. Great card.

And yeah, I'd have been completely unsurprised to see him upgraded to a rare. He's better than many rares, as it is.

Also? This guy + Stromkirk Captain + Rakish Heir = Invincible, or damn near, anyway. Throw in an Akroma's Memorial (if you can manage the mana load) and he's unstoppable.
