Had one of these on the field pumped up to 4/4 due to Thraben Doomsayer, I get swung down to 3. Then I cast 3 Gather the Townsfolk. 19/19 awww yeah.

When I saw him sitting in a sacrifice deck my friend was running, I knew he was better off elsewhere. So I traded him a few cards for him and now him, Archaeomancer, Aether Adept and Ghostly Flicker are all best friends in my U/W control deck

This card is great, all right, but if only there were some way to swing on turn 2 and 3 for a total of lethal damage with only 3 of these.

Hmmmmmm.....

EDIT: Alright, clearly someone doesn't understand math.

Turn 1: You play a Plains and this.

Turn 2: You play a Plains and two of these. You have a 3/3, a 2/2, and a 1/1. You attack for 3 damage.

Turn 3: You play a Mountain and Thatcher Revolt. You have a 6/6, a 5/5, a 4/4, and 3 1/1s. You attack for 18 damage.

If you downvote me, at least now you understand the math.
