Although this is a DAMN GOOD WALL for the cost, if this wall had hexproof, you'd be damn unattackable.
Luckily, the shroud is what makes it even. sure, they can't really remove it, but you can't make it better, unless its a group effect.
Without shroud, it would not be as good, but again, without shroud, it wouldn't be bad. its double-edged.
Still, a perfect card for its cost.

This card is such a pain in Venser vs. Koth. My friend got this thing out turn 3 and I spent just about the entire game trying to get rid of it. Only managed to do by baiting him into blocking my Bloodfire Colossus and sacrificing my Bloodfire Kavu. While he did fall right into that trap, it would've cost me both of them if he had caught on and never blocked with his wall in the first place.
They were the only two creatures I managed to have out at the time...

When I got the deck, I didn't check the decklist and only made a quick flip through before playing. When I drew this card for the first time, a big smile came across my face. 100% best defender of all time.

one of the best walls ever. however, as with all walls.........Deathtouch + Trample = Problem solved.
i say this on this card specifically because my friend bought the venser vs koth duel deck to play against my constructed babies...and the venser deck beat me right out of the box. humbling, to say the least, but it was because of this damn wall.

A 0/8 for a mere three mana PLUS shroud?! Who cares that it doesn't have hexproof!!! For what you're laying down when you play this card, it's super-cheap and will serve the purpose insanely well.
