Big removal target on his head, so if you want to protect him it would cost 6BlueBlueBlueBlue, so you can save some mana for a negate. Unless you reanimate, or even play BlackBlue and duress the turn before.

If you are facing this, try running Akki Avalanchers so that you can sac your lands to prevent the island walk.
