A surprisingly good EDH general:
- 4 power in the air enables winning with general damage
- can be bounced to avoid the frequent EDH wrath effects
- astoundingly good at multiplayer politics and looking harmless
- ....lets you play blue

What is this! Heheh, well it's certainly not a hippo cuz it's creature type is Phelddagrif. (whatever that means) And look at that, he even evolves into Questing Phelddagrif, ooooh, scary stuff!

I would laugh so hard if someone used this as an EDH general. Move over Rafiq, it's flying hippo time. I may do this, actually...

Great political card for EDH. Someone making trouble? Smash them for 4 a turn while boosting everyone else's life totals. Someone needs creatures? You can give them tokens... if they help you out. Remove him, and he'll just come back later after giving someone else a draw.

At first I couldn't believe what I was seeing, a flying purple hippo? THEN they printed him in Alliances..... Acid is a serious drug.....

@ Sonicjosh, you are wrong. The correct order for the casting cost is GWU. When printing a casting cast they always go in the order that would have the least gaps in a continual WUBRGWUBRG... order, so in this case GWU has 0 gaps and WUG would have 2.

While I do want this card reprinted with a new frame and new art, I would be very afraid they'd make it look super-cool-bad-a$$ like most new Magic art is prone to do. Part of its charm is the fact that it's just too cuddly to take seriously, to most opponents' detriment. Great general in EDH, as has been said.
