She may appear weaker than a lot of the Gods. But she gives a ramp deck a lot to do with its spare mana and with burning-tree emissary in standard? Here's a turn 4 with her for you: attack with 4/4 experiment one, 2/2 emissary, 3/1 brushstrider and 4/3 Renegade Krasis all with trample. Not even removing the emissary or Krasis will stop Nylea from being an indestructible 6/6 clogging up the ground.
That's just one curve aiming for turn 4. Elvish mystic, Emissary, Domri Rade, Nylea.
Experiment 1, Emissary, Sylvan Caryatid, another turn 3 Nylea.
Mystic, Emissary, Bow of Nylea, Nylea herself.
Sedge scorpion, Satyr Hedonist, the bow, Xenagos, the reveler, turn 4 Nylea with style.
Purphoros can also play with Emissaries, but Nylea doesn't need to go into another ... (see all)

DarthParallax's Disney Mythics Songs series got a LOT of good hits in Theros o.O
But, between you and me....I will NEVER have a better place to post this one :O
(And I absolutely love how this one's art looks next to certain a certain Hymn :O :3 )
You Think I'm an ignorant Savage? >:/
And you've 'walked so many planes that,
I guess it must be so. -_-
But still I cannot See
If the Veiled one is me

That mana's just a dead thing you can Claim! :|

As usual, Green gets the shaft on the surface, though I think there's more to be said for an easily-played Indestructible 6/6 that gives the dorks you used to make her a creature trample. The pump ability is pathetic, but she's an effective whupstick.
Still not terribly impressive though. Let me remind you all that this character is a FRIGGING GOD. Not an angel surrogate who gets stuck in a moon-chunk for 2/3s of the block, not a demon masquerading, not a Nephelim, and not some sort of flying pasta mountain. Capital-letter GOD. I really wasn't impressed with the cycle overall, and Nylea is emblematic of the issue:
They wanted the Gods to be playable. So they couldn't make them have huge mana costs and jaw-dropping abilities. I think it was a mistake to not make the God cycle we've seen at this point eye-popping with unique, never-before-seen abilities. Not necessarily overpowered Baneslayer garbage, but I mean things that did something genuinely new.
I mean, Nylea's a hunt ... (see all)

despite unexciting abilities, she could be the best god only because green is the easiest color to amass devotion in

I noticed most of the Gods "combo"-ed with their weapons, and rightfully so. Especially this and Purphoros

I think this is better than people are giving it credit, but it still the second worse God imo.

This is better than what I admit to it being.

A sick card with equally amazing art, but...I find it funny that the cargo ship-sized bow she's holding doesn't allow her to shoot things out of the sky. Like, you know, most every other archer in Magic's history.

PV summarized Nylea well in his CFB preview: "Nylea is somewhat underwhelming, since a 6/6 for 4 is not even that good for green these days, and the pump ability is laughably bad."
