This wretched instrument... the one that slayed the Lord Xenagod...
I can't describe how much I want to Hull Breach this thing into oblivion.

This is probably too slow for Standard. Purely in terms of power, I think Loxodon Warhammer is somewhat better because lifelink tends to be the swingier ability on a creature with a +3 power boost. One should not compare this to the five Swords (e.g. Sword of Fire and Ice), because there is a huge difference in power level.

the resemblence to lobotomy is uncanny for the weapon of Heliod's champion...

Brimaz's armament of choice? This seems like it'll send mono white decks over the top in standard. Try getting passed a Guardian of the Gateless with this thing.
I really don't wanna sit across the table of Hexproof decks with this thing either.

My guess is that it was originally intended to be Legendary Enchantment Artifact - Equipment, but all that couldn't fit on the card.
Powerful card, but the cost will keep it in check a little. Would love to pull one of these at pre-release.

You just know some jerk's gonna get this alongside Noble Quarry or Goldenhide Ox at the prerelease.

Reads +3/+3, target creature gains protection from creatures. most of the time.
I'd rather run Prowler's Helm, this card can be scary if your opponent has no creature nor artifact removal, but really. All in all, this card is just meant to make Timmy even more sad.
Unless the meta changes to a more aggressive strategy, this card won't see play. It can (1) be dissolved, cancelled, stymied hopes'd, anul'd, etc, (2) lose a turn to equip turns cards like doom blade into timewalk.
Although, would be funny to see this be used on mutavault. 5/5 mutavault is... irrelevant vs large token production.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
The more I look at this card, the more I like it.

@MisterAction: I prefer to read it as "God's End".

Compared to Sword of Kaldra:
Pros
-Lower casting and equip cost (3 each)
-Exiles before damage is dealt, avoiding triggering Boros Reckoners or Phyrexian Obliterators, or Deathtouch if equipped creatures doesn't have first strike
-Locks out cards exiled with it, which is awesome in Commander
Cons
-Colored mana cost, can't be run in all deck colors
-Doesn't boost as much as Kaldra's
-Can only exile one thing- Kaldra just needs combat damage, so any amount of creatures blocking it until its maximum power are exiled, leading to potential wipes with things like Odric or Master Warcraft
-Doesn't have support from other cards like Kaldra
So neither is truly better than the other. I'm planning on running both in my Iroas commander deck.
