this card doesnt have a really awesome affect unless your playing a speed deck that loves to throw 1 mana goblins at you like a monkey throwing poo. then its easy to wipe the field with all the 1 mana cost goblins and go in for the kill.

I hate mirrodin for creating such overpowered cards . .
This is CRAZY. This is an ability that has the capacity to destroy multiple permanents in legacy.
Most permanents in legacy cost less than 3 . . so for less than 5 mana, it can essentially destroy permanents (mostly oppponent's).

Even in a mono-color deck, you can still add versatility to it by using Dual-Lands, providing other colors of mana with minimal restriction.

I was running Leonin Bladetrap over this for protection against swarm strategies in my Glissa, the Traitor EDH, then I saw Kryptnyt's comment about Auriok Salvagers here and realized my massive error, especially since I'm running Salvaging Station.

No one in hear mentions academy ruins?
The unlimited recursion engine on a land?
Or that you can change it's CMC on the stack by pumping more mana into it without changing the number of counters on it?
