too many conditions for this to be an effective vintage card
need more life than opponent
need to play a 1v1 instead of multiplayer (unless its two headed)
opponents must not have burn spells, meaning you'll have to run some discards unless they are tapped out
and even then they can play free burners/misdirections either from hand or table
it's hard to cast this in a scenario where you don't feel like you must win immediately unless you successfully cast it on a lifelink creature

Those of you with your great turn 1 and 2 win combos, I suggest you take a course in probability to see how often those combos actually come out.
Otherwise, good card in the right situation. I just wouldn't bet the house on it as there are way too many ways to stop it dead in its tracks.

Why in Progenitus's name has this never been reprinted? All the removal and bounce out there these days means that it isn't nearly a guaranteed win. This was Phyrexian mama before phyrexian mana was even a concept!

Turn 1 -> Swamp + suicide 2/2 critter (Sarcomancy or Carnophage)
Turn 2 -> City of traitors + Unmask (alternate) + attack with 2/2 + Dark ritual + Hatred by 18. Match
Also there is pact of negation to suport hatred's entrance.
