I just puzzled out a ridiculously unlikely first-turn kill with this guy. It's not tournament-legal, since it needs multiple instances of two restricted vintage cards, but it also does not use the Power 9.
First turn, opening hand: Mountain, 4 Lotus Petals, Seething Song, Wheel of Fortune.
Play Mountain, all four Petals, tap Mountain, sac two Petals, cast Seething Song, cast Wheel of Fortune. Discard nothing but draw 7!
Draw: Healing Salve, 3 Seething Songs, Simian Spirit Guide, Mass Hysteria, Wheel of Fortune.
You still have 
in the pool. Sac a Petal for 
, play Healing Salve, gain 3 Life. Sac last Petal for , use all mana to cast Seething Song, then cast the two other Seething Songs. You have in the pool. Toss the Spirit Guide, use to cast Mass Hysteria, use to cast Wheel of Fortune, hand was empty... (see all)
