She is an absolute nightmare as an EDH general if the deck is a wizard tribal. Which, given the amount of wizards to choose from, is not too hard to do.

Best for a Wizard tribal that focuses on quantity, as if it resolves you can draw a lot of cards and nobody can really stop you. Cost is otherwise prohibitive.

future sight is good, but i think this has the potential to do better
changelings are also wizards
futuresight means that your opponent can see what you have and has a better idea what you would do (eg if force of will was revealed, chances are, he's not gonna pull a overrun)

Illusionist's Bracers goes better on her than it does on anything else short of Borborygmos Enraged.

The only problem I could ever see with this card is that you have a maximum hand size. Other than that, In a wizard deck, she would slaughter relentlessly. Combined with Graceful Adept she would be perfect, assuming you managed to use the fist full of cards you would get to kill your opponent in time. She can also activate her own ability, so she is always at lest slightly useful.
Her only real problem is how delicate she is. If she so much as gets Shocked, she's gone. Although, at two, she's not the weakest wizard I have ever seen.
Other than a few minor downsides, she's strongest draw engine I have ever seen. So much so that I would worry about an accidental mill loss from this...
So, base rating: ***
Deck building potential: +*
Draw power: +*
Defenseless: -*/4
Oops mill loss: -*/4
final: **** */2

Does she make up for the other poor wizard legends in the block? I think so. She's just a lot of fun in a wizard tribal deck and ripe for plenty of tricks. The fact that the tapping ignores summoning sickness is what makes her extra special. Everything about this card works aesthetically for me too.
4.5/5

+ you can tap herself and any other wizard you control to draw cards, even if they got summoning sickness
- it's a 0/2 for 5 mana. Most likely Futuresight is more worth it

Andrew's Occasional Random Card of the Day #4 - 6/30/2011 - Azami, Lady of Scrolls
Hmm. Five mana for a zero-two. Err, 0/2. But she can tap herself immediately to replace herself on a card basis, plus any other Wizards you might have put you up more cards. If she gets Shocked immediately, you still 2-for-1'd your opponent, though you're out a bit of mana. Seems worth it. Oh wait, did I not need to convince you that she's a pretty good card?
I don't play a ton of Commander, or at least I don't keep up with all the trends and bannings and 'most hated cards', etc., but I feel like I've heard Azami's name mentioned at least a few times. I've never played with her, but it's definitely the type of otherwise boring card-advantage-based card I could see myself enjoying quite a bit, in a, "You're dead and I still have ten cards in my hand," kind of way. I guess that's kind of a mean way.
For someone with so much knowledge on so many scrolls, I have to wonder if sh... (see all)

I played this in a red/blue card draw, mill and burn deck with enclave cryptologist and sea gate oracle. In every game I managed to get at least 3 cards as soon as I paid and got her out. From there I could just spit out spells like crazy until she died. Even if she had died as soon as she came out she wouldve already paid for herself and did it again everyturn after that.
I gave this a 5/5
When I'm done drawing I like to play hellion eruption to put all those wizards to better use. Odds are you'll be getting a land every turn shes out also.
