Could you imagine just having play magic for a month or two, still innocent, starry eyed, and filled with so much wonder about the many cards out there you have not seen, and then opening up this card? I don't know if I would have thrown out my cards in rage or laughed myself incoherent.

Whenever I see this card all I can say is MADNESS. How could you argue with playing say two Reckless Wurms at instant speed during your opponent's turn?

Have three lands, play 0/1 Tarmogoyf and pass the turn. Bait your opponent into attacking with everything, then cast One with Nothing. Watch as the smile across the table turns into gnawing teeth.

@Hermeezey: I think your opponent will actually smile even more after that play, considering you just spent three turns and nine or ten cards to make a 3/4 or 4/5 that killed one of their creatures.

I love this card if only for how I've seen some of the fans react to it.
The newbies see this and think: "Wait, that's stupid."
The experienced tryhards see the newbies and berate them with: "No, you're just a stupid newbie. There are times when you need stuff in your hand in your graveyard and this is a great way to do it."
Of course, the players who know what they're doing see this and think: "There are better ways to dump the cards I need in my hand in a more precise fashion. I guess there are a few cases where this might do a better job, but on the whole this is stupid."

Such a bizarre card... The Johnny in me must go search for a way to make it affect my opponent.

A truly beautiful card. Not practical, of course - there are a million different ways of enabling madness, reanimation, hellbent, Dread Slag etc. that are more efficient.
But beautiful, and so satisfying to play? Certainly

It's just so seemingly negative that it's the kind of card that I would *love* to build around. To not only make a deck that makes use of it, but makes *good* use of it.
Of course, the major drawback is that there are a lot of cards which achieve the same result for around the same cost, but have far more control and less downside (Putrid Imp, of course). So even with a deck that could make use of this... it'd be better with Putrid Imp.
Oh One with Nothing, why couldn't you have some awesome threshold or something!

Combine this with Isochron Scepter or Panoptic Mirror, and you can discard your entire hand every turn!

@Ridamin
Yes, for all that targetting mentioned on OWN...all zero of it.
Cards like this are actually useful for teaching rules concepts. If a spell, ability, or other effect doesn't say "target", it doesn't have a target.
EDIT: Well, except for Auras...but this card isn't one.
