What will happen if a creature with Accorder's Shield was declared attacking and it is Shattered? Does it remain untapped or it goes tapped since it is attacking. Shatter is instant!

I normally don't like equipment that boosts toughness without boosting power. But this gets the nod from me over cards like Spidersilk Net and Vanguard's Shield because it creates an awesome blocker that can still swing recklessly. Solid 4/5 in pauper cube drafts.
