A snow mana accelerator in the color of your choice? Looks good to me...

Compare to Sphere of the Suns. Actually don't, this makes snow mana, and technically blinking this can reset it for color much like blinking Sphere to give it counters.

bhunji42: That wouldn't create snow mana like this does.

I like it more than the old mirage ones. For an extra mana you could have a Sol Grail that doesn't come into play tapped. Which is also in the Ice Age block.

Strictly better than a lot of old mana fixers.

I play this in my snow deck.
First I just plalyed it for it's beautiful art, until I realised that it also produces snow mana...

So for 1CMC less than a Sol Grail (or Darksteel Ingot) we get a nearly identical mana-fixer that enters the battlefield tapped. That trade-off is fairly reasonable, but then to bring it home this thing is a snow artifact, meaning it can produce wonderful {S} snow mana.
This thing is a miracle in any Snow deck. Outside of snow decks it beats the pants off of any of the Mirage-era Diamonds at the very least.

Unless you play Myrs, consider this over your mana Myrs. I think it's great for casual Metalcraft and mana fixing.

This follows the pattern of 2-mana artifacts being equivalent to lands. This one is Terramorphic Expanse. You pick the color you want, and it gives you that color and only that color. They also can't be used the turn they're played. While the Expanse isn't related to snow, it can still fetch snow lands.
