Fun fact: Portal Three Kingdoms was the first set that introduced troll shroud.

What makes things like this even more fun are umbras. Then your already hard to remove creatures get even harder to remove.

Insert Touhou 13: Ten Desires joke here.

You have a hard time imagining when troll shroud would be useful?
How about in a green buff aura deck?

Good ability on a weak body. Pretty nifty art though. I wish this guy was a monk for my monk tribal deck.

Oracle rewording makes me a bit sad. As originally printed this guy's ability was stronger, as for example it dodged Phantasmal Image-type nontargeted selection.

Well, you can slap auras and equipment on him, and for your opponent he has shroud. Not great, not horrible.

what kind of a moron thought entirely rewriting the rules for Portal cards would actually help new players learn to play? honestly, i read and re-read this card's text and it made no sense until i read the Oracle errata giving it Shroud.
