Maucer, you wouldn't lose.
You would however, lose if the angel left play and you had to draw a card. You'd also probably be in negative life points, which would also cause you to lose if the angel left play.
Personally, I think this is not a great card against most decks because it will get removed from play once you are at negative life. It's still fun to claim it means you can't lose The Game though.

With Platinum Angel in the battlefield Pact of the Titan, Summoner's Pact, Intervention Pact, Pact of Negation, and Slaughter Pact all become far more efficient.

Allows you to punch other players, steal their cards, and blatantly cheat. No judge can give you a match loss, since you cannot lose the game.

It's ability sure is impressive. But especially by newer players, this guy is easily overrated. They play the angel, and then willingly take damage, reducing their life total below 0. And then the angel simply gets returned to hand, killed by creature removal, killed by artifact removal, humiliateed, stolen, shuffled into it's owners library or whatever.
Great card, but not as powerful as people might think on the first glance.

This card really only works in Blue decks, where you can shroud it, counter anything coming after it, etc. Personally though, I love it. While it's not a good idea to rely on it, it's nice when your opponent throws a 10/10 with Protection from everything out.

Cast this and then cast Lich, and then Mirror Universe. Win!

This card is good by itself, but if you combine it with the Whispersilk Cloak it can become BROKEN.

I think it's hands-down the best card ever made! Sure, it's open to removal spells. But who cares! It's still way too cheap for it's ability. No other card protects you as well.
Even with all that, I still gave mine away. :P

Every so often, you'll come across a deck that is completely non-interactive. This card is fun to have around for that eventuality :P
Furthermore, a friend of mine carries one of these in his wallet to avoid losing the aforementioned Game.
