it would be better if the abilities were flipped. if for example they had 6 cards in their hand, with this the random discard has a 1 in 6 chance of discarding their best card, but if the abilities were flipped at first they discard their worst, then there would be a 1 in 5 chance of discarding their best card as they would have less cards left in their hand.
