I used to play Mana Prisms way back when I started playing. I didn't like how they cost so much and thought they'd be awesome if they only cost 2. This card makes me happy and while it's not as efficient as a guild signet, it's able to go into 'any' deck.

I just don't have the patience to track down 4 copies of each Signet.

Nearly every card in Time Spiral was a throwback to at least one previously printed card.

This card references Mana Prism, which itself is a reference to Celestial Prism.

I prefer Mana Cylix. This is more expensive with little extra benefits

Very good card for getting you into 4 mana range by turn 3, and letting you fix mana. Sol Ring is broken and restricted in vintage, that would have no business getting reprinted into standard ever again.
