Many people wonder why Psionic Blast is consider more powerful than Char. The answer is simple. Blue, by tradition, isn't the color of aggression. It's on the other side of Red and Green and thus were designed to be more passive and controlling. Psionic Blast is one of the exceptions where planeswalkers could do direct damage to kill a creature or opponent. Combine with other blue control cards, PB is very dangerous, compare to Char is already in a damage-abundant color. Last but not least, there are also way fewer creatures with protection from blue than red.

5 Star rating on this one. Blue should never have access to direct damage but here it is. . .

Begs to be comboed with R&D's Secret Lair
Me: I target...your face!
Opponent: Ok, I take 4 (goes to move dice)
Me: No, I said I target your face, not you. Your face takes four.

@keiyakin: It already CAN target planeswalkers. All burn spells that can target a player can target a planeswalker. When a burn spell resolves, and you decide to do damage to a player, you can instead decide to do the damage on any planeswalker that player controls.

Blue direct damge, a rarity...This card feels red in flavor, because it harms you as well as your opponent...This card simply feels better as Char...
