Too expensive... effective as an early counter, but tough to keep mana free for larger spells. In a set with Counterspell, this guy was definitely not as good.

This is only good on turn one to counter someonething like Black Lotus or someone else that is good and cheap later in the game this card sucks.

as a kid i thought that you had to pay colored mana, etc. needless to say, i never played this card.
