I like how they kept Mirrodins artwork and changed the flavor text, yet exchanged it for a new one that is still related to the Mirrodin Novels, especially since i can't remember any quote of the before unmentioned Mayvar back then.
Well, neither he nor Geth exist yet, but maybe they get introduced as a card when we finally come back to the plane Mirrodin in a future cycle...
