Pretty awesome card in a Zombie deck. I love that it creates a Festering Goblin, since it was one of my favorite cards to play in Onslaught.

Wow, this is a great way to get cards into your graveyard in a productive way - if you want them there which I do!^^
I hava milling deck with Lich Lord of Unx in it which goes well with all kinds of zombies and I also use Szadek, Lord of Secrets. It's just that he's a little expensive so it's much more effective to play him using a Dimir Doppelganger - but for that to happen you've gotta get Szadek into your graveyard somehow first...=> PERFECT!
Also, I tend to get overrun by too many creatures sometimes so great blockers with a potential kill ability - NICE! ;-)

I have had mixed feelings about this card. I love the concept of being able to play a festering goblin each turn by just keeping this guy out and throwing down a each turn. Though to be realistic, a 1/1 body on this guy makes him an easy target to get rid of. Also if there is only this and festering goblins on the field then this guy will die (since no matter what he will be hit for -1/-1). If this guy is not on the field and one of your goblins get zaped and only festering goblins are on the field then all your goblins die.
I personaly feel that zombie tribal needs to play fast and sadly this guy does not feel like he plays fast enough. His ability is amazing in its own right, but it is slow and risky in zombies. I feel that almost every card you play in an aggro deck needs to be able to do somthing the turn you play it.
This is a great card, it really is. Just a tad bit slower than I would like.

He turns all your cards into Festering Goblin! If that isn't awesome, I don't know what is. Combines well with madness cards as well.

I dead your goblin, oh look no other creatures on the table, you must target the spellshaper. Now what have you learned?

Then a Dry Spell to kill them all and take out the Darksteel Colussus your opponent just played.

Turn 1: Swamp + Putrid Imp
Turn 2: Swamp + Exhumer - Discard Dread Return to make the imp fly
Turn 3: Swamp - Use the Exhumer to discard a big baddie (pref 11/11 monstrosity). - Flashback it
Turn 4: Mutilate
The problem here is that without some finesse, the Exhumer doesn't help you *that* much, but the point is, it cheaply drops cards from your hand into the grave, gives you a Festering Goblin to play with, and ultimately gives you body fodder for cards like Dread Return, which REALLY benefits from killing the goblins, and as a result means you can have your late game killers out even earlier.
This same strategy with a T1 kickstart from a Dark Ritual means you can have baddies on the field from cards like Animate Dead sooner then ever with the added benefit of an extra Goblin to boot.
Also hilarious in casual.

@Tommy9898
That I shouldn't make Festering Goblin tokens when playing against a creature-light deck?
