@GrimjawxRULES: She is holding a bubble with a butterfly inside (http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/ART3/yavimaya_enchantress_art_by_terese_nielsen.jpg)
@Zoah: Terese Nielsen DO know to draw a woman, you just have to check other cards, like her female Alliances version of Elvish Ranger

Yavimaya Enchantress + Enchanted Evening = Big Fatty for 3 cmc. Niiiiiice :)
Just wait a few turns for your opponent to put as many lands out as they want, then BOOM!

Boo on the team that made her human for creature type!Check the original printing artwork, VERY CLEARLY AN ELF!!! But then with all the elf cards and abilities, can't blame them for not wanting to add this to the mix....

Hate to be the token Enchanted Evening comment, but doesn't that make her a monstrous beast, particularly in multiplayer?

@Garbagegatherer - I agree with you, Terese is definately a woman's name..
@Zoah - The art shows a woman, not a man. One very clear way of telling that the Enchantress is female, is the fact that the card is names Enchantress, and not Enchanter... The only reason why hair and leaves mask her chest, is because she isn't wearing any clothing - and you can clearly see her shapes around the hips if you look closer.
I've always liked the Enchantress, even though I've rarely played with her myself. I like the fact that you can turn her into a 5/5 lifelinking trampler with a mere 4th turn Armadillo cloak. Sure, removal spells are (a lot) more common nowadays, but I still think Aura's are worth much, perhaps because I enjoy casual Magic more than anything else...
Oh yeah, BTW, isn't that the skull from Recollect she's holding in her hands? - or is it just an enchanted fruit from the tree in the background? (probably most likely the latter)

Poor Yavimaya Enchantress just can't seem to get decent artwork to back her up. I like the urza version best, even though she's an elf in the artwork but still somehow human.
Anyway, with +1/+1 thanks to wild growth and +3/+1 thanks to rancor, this is almost always a 6/4 trampler that attacks on turn 3 in my enchantress deck, which is just amazing. I guess i have to replace her with kor spiritdancer now though.
