Good flyer, great card back in the old days. I've always liked the old-school art style.
2.5/5

I rated it highly because of nostalgia... and flavourtext... and the art. And in limited it would still be highly playable as of today.

I remember feeling momentarily excited because this thing wouldn't die to Earthlink.

Yes that is my reason,3/3 flying for 3R was good back then. Very solid for the day. They should have timeshifted this card!

It's rated high because it's strictly better than Hill Giant and all the iterations of it, which are still being printed even today (Lagac Lizard, Canyon Minotaur).

why is this card rated so high????
perhaps if you're considering it within the time it was originally released...

Well, it's not strictly better... Take a look at Plummet and Muraganda Petroglyphs for a couple of reasons as to why it's not. But yeah, most of the time, it's better.

Solid card. Rocs have pretty much vanished from the game, but they were a neat red flyer to go with Dragons.

I really like Andi Rusu's style. It reminds me of picture illustrations in old books.
