Actually this card works really well in a deck based on Wither. Combined with cards like Necroskitter, Kulrath Knight, and Crumbling Ashes, Scar has multiple uses.

I dunno why this card gets so much hate, if you have Blowfly Infestation out and play Scar on a */1 then you can kill all */1's on the table! Best use is obviously against counter decks but it works well on anything larger if you have a Kulrath Knight as it's like a cheap Pacifism.

Disfigure is only better if you can actually kill the creature. Of course, as a combat trick, when WON'T disfigure kill the creature? Bah, this is a fun gimmick.

In case anyone who's new comes in and see's this, I'm pretty the point of this card is to counter Persist. As such, It's far better in Shadowmoor than anywhere else, though Proliferate helps too.

Really, it should have gotten a quote from LOTR concerning Bilbo's scar aching many years after it felt the blade of of the witch-king's knife. I miss classic literature on Magic cards.
