Certainly this card is harder to use against a deck not of your color, but you can still use it to play lands from your opponents deck and again to play his cards with his lands. Besides that, this card is pretty good at plain milling, although I know better cards exist. Overall, considering this card's rather unique effect, I would definitely consider using it and certainly wouldn't toss it out of hand.

Hook this thing up with a Lavamancer's skill or a Hermetic Study or something similar and you have an endless damage & milling loop. Or better yet, Power of Fire which is a common card in the same set. The mana cost on the untap ability is a bit prohibitive though.

On the bright side, after you saw off a few lands, it'll be easier to meet the colored mana requirements :)

Yeah, the having to cast the stolen card is a bit of a drawback, but I suggest putting a bunch of vivid lands in your deck to remedy that...That's the only real solution to that I think.

Would go well with paradise mantle, since you could make any color for the exiled card and it would mill like crazy.

Irreversible milling, if you don't/can't play the spell.
Paradise mantle is the best friend of all untap creatures.

Your deck is almost certainly blue/black, so unless they're playing monocolor there's a decent chance you can play their card.
Also, in the (very) long run, you could take a land from their deck and splash their color anyway.

Exotic Orchard or prismatic omen to completely steal your opponent's deck

Hmm, I see some comments saying to play this with Training Grounds and Paradise Mantle to go infinite... Cool combo, and I think a simple Earthcraft and Utopia Sprawl on a Forest would work too if you're willing to add Green. :) (Or any of the many other land enchantments like that, Wild Growth on an Island is another example. Mana-doublers such as Caged Sun or Mana Reflection work as well) Well, and if you're willing go outside of Modern for Earthcraft. o_o
I guess you could even get infinite mana out of it if you play an Overgrowth on an Island!
...But that would be kind of pointless, as you'd already have their entire deck exiled. XD
Anyways, about the card, I love it! For some reason it seems like it could really shine in EDH. Hmm, I guess you could only cast cards with the same colors as your deck from the EDH rules... Still, there's usually a player with... (see all)
