The flavour text is really quite evocative.

Now this is a card that I'd find very useful, if I could ever find it. I like this one over Wrath of God since I use a Mono-White deck.

For a price that steep, it better do exactly what it does. Because that's a lot of mana.
It's probably better to use it for sideboards, however, since white creatures don't get hurt by it.

A sideboard card.
Though a very, very good one.
Awesome concept too.

It's a game winner if your opponents are not playing mono white.

@Tiggurix: He's referring to the Old Spice commercials that became famous (infamous?) in N.A. earlier this year, comparing Old Spice favourably to other body washes. That's where the Mass Calcify-Wrath of God comparison is coming from. I thought it was pretty funny. =P
They're taking "they can't be regenerated" out of a lot of creature destruction abilities in recent sets, in an attempt to make regeneration matter more. Flavourwise, it's hard to say how a creature could recover from being calcified, but I like these Wrath-type effects better without that "can't be regenerated" clause.
I quite like the flavour and the flavour text of this card, but I don't know if I would play it. I would rather have Day of Judgement-level CMCs on wrath effects, just in case I need to use them earlier. I'm willing to accept that I might lose some creatures - I just hope to make the opponent(s) lose MORE than I do.

Look again: The creatures are now diamonds! Anything's possible when your Wrath of God smells like an Old Spice Wrath of God. I'm on a horse.
