not absolutely sure, but i think i read in the rules that effects like that from clout of the dominus apply "after" the creature becoming anything, because the becoming alters only the values that are displayed at the bottom of the card, the basic values that is, which of course can be modified by other cards.

I love slipping a Psychotic Fury on this before dropping the Clout of the Dominus. Nothing like 10 unblockable damage on turn 3.

Okay, according to the rules section in the oracle, even after you put a Clout on it, if you were to play a spell that is both blue and red, the Mimic's BASE power and toughness become 3/3. So, since the Clout does not change the base stats because it gives the creature a static boost, if you were to play, for example, Noggle Bandit, this mimic would become a 5/5 unblockable, haste, shroud.

Drop a Clout of the Dominus this guy, start the four-turn clock; lol as opponents without enchantment/shroud removal totally rage.
If for some reason they're still live by turn six, drop a Rage Reflection; there aren't many things that top a shrouded, hasty, double-striking creature that you can turn into a 5/5 unblockable every turn.
I give this card a 4/5; it synergies wonderfully with the right 
deck, but it's pretty much a smaller Wee Dragonauts that can't be blocked and doesn't get bonuses from non-static abilities, and is particularly susceptible to spot removal and burn without something like Clout of the Dominus to protect it. Though while probably not the best stand-alone Mimic, it works great with an Izzet deck like mine that's built around aggressive, hard-to-block rushes while constantly playing spells. And with the aforementioned enchantment it's a real force to be reckoned with; I've had people drop ... (see all)

While it doesn't have much place outside a U/R hybrid deck, in straight U/R hybrid it's a solid staple. With the cheap cost of Clout of the Dominus and steady stream of hybrid spells, you're more or less gauranteed at least 5 damage to your opponent every round, for very little cost.

Behold the kill strategy of my Grixis deck. Add Clout of the Dominus and it becomes your opponent's worst nightmare (a 5/5 unblockable creature on turn three).

so heres how this works with clout of the dominus
you cast clout of the dominus. it goes on the stack. Casting triggers the mimics ability, that goes on the stack. The mimics ability resolves first, its becomes a 3/3 unblockable. then clout of the dominus resolves. it enchants the mimic, giving it +2/+2, haste and shroud. Its a 5/5 haste shroud unblockable. now, if i were to cast another U/R spell, it would be a 3/3 haste shroud unblockable.
so YES it does become a 5/5, but ONLY on the turn you play the enchantment. after that, its back to 3/3 land whenever you cast another U/R spell
