There are also lots of cards that use -1/-1 counters, so you could possibly just play with those and have something that moves counters around.

Turn 2 Dark Ritual ftw
Or, put Gemstone Caverns in as well and potentially get a turn 1 dark ritual off with this guy, I've done it a couple of times in my B/G land fiddler deck...

This card is fun gamble, yeah if your opponent gets a bunch out he will be puny, but with green acceleration on turn 3 maybe if doesn't get a cretaure a turn you could get a 4/4 or better.
Plus in multiplayer at least 1 player has to be behind.

if you can use black removal, then pop this it can be huge and quite game breaking.

Quite usable, but green typically gets cheap fat, and if you can handle the drawback, so does black. Abyssal Persecutor, Desecration Demon, and even Grinning Demon are likely better choices in mono-black or green black. Similarly Liege of the Pit almost counts in mono-black as a fair comparison (due to being flipped T4 and attacking.)
That said, this is suprisingly the most efficient 6+/6+ for 4 or less green has unless you carefully run Hunted Wumpus or a Hatchling

@Revan:
Gemstone caverns does not give you two mana in any circumstance. You should reread it.
