Essentail to any Merfolk deck. The added Islandwalk is a nice touch.

I don't get it... You guys are saying that wizards are trying to make wizards more viable... When they are already terrifying... I have a wizard deck that I'm building... Would anybody like to donate a Patron Wizard, because wizard tribal is just so bad? No? Didn't think so.

All of the Banneret's are good in their own decks, but I think this may be my favorite. Simple, Elegant, Utilitarian, and Islandwalk fits snuggly with it's merfolk brethren. 4.5/5

4/1/2008 A spell you cast that's both creature types costs {1} less to cast, not {2} less.
Make sure to check the rulings under Details, many times those types of obvious questions are answered.

God damn WotC wants that Wizard Tribal to work. Pretty sad their own namesake gets trampled by elfs, tackled by gobbos, gutted by soldiers, and even eviscerated by fairie/rogues.
I'm waiting for them to start printing cards to hose wizards in the delusion that they are a threat.

will this make a merfolk wizard cost 2 less?

of the 5 Bannetets, this is the most effective as most merfolk are wizards already.
