@Soul_Reaver: nothing happens if you cascade into it. When you cascade a spell its played for free, firesprout must be played using red or green mana for it to work. so when you do cascade into it, you have two options: play the spell and have it fizzle or choose to put it on the bottom of you library.

@Baconradar, I wouldn't be so sure. Green has so much trouble dealing with fliers and gaining card advantage at the same time that I would think Green would be grateful to have a sweeper of some sort. Its creatures can take care of the stuff on the ground in most cases.

Not Bad for three mana, especially if you play with both red and green. Clears the board early on

Basically this is a red or red green deck spell - not so hot for pure green.
Very strong sweeper though.

I've never actually played with this, but in monogreen this may actually be pretty good. Because there are hardly any flyers in green, this can deal with your opponent's, but leave your guys unharmed. But I really like cards like this that have an effect depending on the type of mana spent on it...although they should totally make a cycle that depends on how much of each mana you spend on it *cough cough* Ihaveone *cough cough*

@Baconradar It's more cost-effective than Hurricane for 3. In my mind, if you're having to use a sweeper on flyers that have more than 3 toughness, you're probably already going to lose.

What can you say? By far Shadowmoor's best card.

What if you Cascade into it?

My biggest concern is that you don't get to choose which effect you want if you don't have the mana to pay all in one color.
Versatilty is always nice, but requiring that you do more is never good. It's the same reason Soul's attendant is better than Soul Warden.
For example, Incinerate is good, and Pyroclasm is good. Pyroclasm has an immensely higher damage potential, but it has a severe downside in that you don't get to choose where it goes.
This is like if Hurricane forced you to deal damage to creatures without flying based on whether or not you had an even number of lands in play.
Yes, it can be manipulated, and yes, it does improve your options.
But it makes it incredibly difficult to choose only what you want.
