I love "That much" or "that many" effects like this. Dedicated green, I love pumping; not saying i would pump this with green, there's good black ways to do it as mentioned, but that's my style. Anyway, it's a specter effect they've needed a long time. Like Cold-eyed Selkie

Yesterday, I pulled out :
-Turn 1, Dark ritual X2 --- Needle Specter, liliana's caress
-Turn 2, Unholy strenght, unholy strenght --- Opponent discard 5 cards and loose 10 life...

Very lucky hand, but how impresive!

Defenitely my favorite specter ever. I love to pump him with unholy strenght before equiping him a whispesilk cloak!

Because this has wither and is pumpable. Like John-Bender said, giving it Unholy Strength makes it stronger than Hypnotic Specter by a good deal.

Hypnotic Specter wouldn't make opponent discard three cards and it doesn't have wither either.

Wither is always a fun ability to play around with. But I think this card should have either been a 1/2 or a 2/1 at the very least.

Well I for one reason don't have a job and only have a 300 dollar per year budget at best. I may seem like a stupid kid, but reasonably for those who want to run a mono-B discard deck or a B/R discard damage this is more cost effective than spending 32 dollars on 4 set Hypnotics.
