With Cloudstone Curio in play, transforms your Nip Gwyllions into a flurry of death! Just play one, then the other, return the first to your hand, and repeat!

This is one of the best Liege cards.

Easily the best Liege for the sole reason that he turns any (B or B/W) spell into a removal spell. Even a removal spell itself becomes a twofer. All the Lieges are playable in casual but few impact the game as intensely and as persistently as the Deathbringer....

This is fun in a deck crammed with things like Mourning Thrull, Edge of the Divinity, Divinity of Pride, Nip Gwyllion, and so on. And Batwing Brume. All of these are kill spells with him out. Doesn't even matter if he's been hit with Pacifism.

It doesn't even have to be in an Orzhov deck. If you have an Esper deck or something like that, it's still an amazing card. Things like Sphinx of the Steel Wind would still do both effects.

Obviously possesses synergy with W/B hybrid cards. Pricey, but worth it if you've got enough hybrids, and after Alara Reborn there's no reason not to have them.
