Agreed, Goblin Lackey is what makes this card extraordinarily strong when you can drop this puppy onto the field for free.

I agree. 4 for a 2/2 with Haste and First Strike just isn't that great when considering other, better Goblins.

Get out a Goblin Warchief, and all your Goblins have haste. Get out a Bloodmark Mentor, and all your Goblins have first-strike. There's really no reason to pay 4 for this guy.

Why would you ever waste a hard-earned Lackey trigger on this doofus? You don't even get to capitalize on his haste if you drop him that way, since you've already attacked.

I once won a game with this card while playing a match again Fabrício Werdum.

Even with Goblin Lackey, he sucks; you're not getting to use his Haste in that case, so he becomes a ridiculously overcosted 2/2 first striker.
(Yes, Goblin Lackey bypasses his cost; but the idea behind a card like Goblin Lackey is that you want cards that are playable and decent without your Lackey, while being overwhelmingly powerful when dropped with it. This card is barely decent with the lackey, and useless without it. Terrible! Just use a Goblin King or the like instead.)
