This card is an A+ example of "Win More" cards. My Elves vs. Goblins Duel Decks experience was quite memorable: I put an Ajani Goldmane and 2 plains into the deck and basically left the rest as is.

I am SHOCKED at how rare and valuable an unopened box is so many years later, but it's *almost* worth the price, and just plain picking up playsets of the Ambush Commander and Voice of the Woods is a necessary investment for any die-hard fan of Elves.

I was playing against 3 other people. Their decks were all much better than mine (or so I thought)- a Kamigawa Saprolings deck with Essence Warden was making as many tokens as me, but not as much life. I remember the first card I ever DEARLY wished I had more of was Wellwisher :) I don't remember the other decks, but I remember they were reasonably good, if not quite FNM-tier.

It wasn't exactly tense, but everyone had enough threats so that people thought it was going to take a... (see all)
