I was playing a jujitsu deck a while back and my opponents had anemic starts, and I couldn't get an advantage because there was nothing worth doing. Someone brought out this, and it was the best creature on the board by far. So I made about 7 copies of it, and got through on each opponent with at least one of them. That experience taught me that this card is crap. The game still didn't really progress, even though none of them could get anything going. The problem is that once you get through, you can't attack with that copy any more because it does more damage if it doesn't get killed. So it becomes an expensive, awkward wanderlust.

Also, I like how I can attack someone once ten years ago and it will still damage him or her every upkeep

This is the kind of card I think should have made it into Innistrad block as a reprint or a rehash. Love the art, and the mechanic is cool. used to used Hermetic Study with these guys, now I would use a razor boomerang, or a werewolf's quiver
As far as story flavor goes, zombie wizard, would be a great creature type I think.

Any effect that mentions "This game" is awesome. COmbo that with cool art and decent cost and I think we have a fun little casual card to break out in zombie EDH.
