Yup, the sideboard. Something MTG pushed since Alpha. No matter how you package it, destroying ALL of anything has it's uses. And with the right spells and some patience you can change the text of any spell according to color or land types. However in an age where mono or dual chrome is fading, and so few people use mainly basic lands, the usefulness of "sideboard" cards have greatly diminished.
