This used to be the fastest poisoner. Good combo with Dwarven Warrior or Tawnos Wand.

Then came infect.

I had this and fire whip and instill energy and other untappy green things in a terrible deck I made once.

Not the damage is not limited to combat; combo with Psionic Gift. This is also one of the fastest ways to give players poison counters.
