So, I can do a stunning 1.5 damage a turn on average against foes with mountains for 1R? Right... NEXT!

It could also do a reasonable wall of torches impression. For whatever that's worth.

Yet another example of an early card that absolutely nobody would use. It may be flavorful (apparently the goblins have to climb back up to the top of your opponent's mountains during your turn), but there is nothing good about this card.

@ttian: Goblin Sledder disagrees. (They even are good at being the sled!)

real name of this card:
a goblin that wastes the time of the game!

If you're playing anyone with Mountains, they are going to be too busy showing you the correct way to run Red to bother with your dipshit goblins. And then you're going to be so embarrassed, it will be terrible.

I like the fact that in the original printing, it wasn't even a goblin. Were they worried that would make it too good?

If you mostly want this for blocking, there's also:
Cinder Wall
Torpid Moloch
Ogre Sentry
@metalevolence:
Unfortunately, Wall of Torches cannot do a reasonable Wall of Razors impression.
