With all the borderposts and artifact creature in the metagame right now this card can actually be an efficient sideboard card. As for the flavor text; magnificent. It perfectly captures the resistence of the Vithians and the rebirth of a new world.

Interesting that Grixian Vithians managed to pick up a knack for green mana.
Anyway, I don't know how well it will do in the Llorwyn/Alara standard, seeing as how most of the hard-to-get-at power cards are enchantments, not artifacts, but who knows how it'll do once Llorwyn rotates out and Zendikar in. Maybe Esper will take over.

I like to get more than +1/+0 for the red mana, but it's still going to rip its way through limited. It could be better, but it will do just fine.

Very nice for limited, and in constructed it's more or less par. Good three-drop that will stay under the radar.

Could be decent right now to combat the Basilisk-Sparkmage combo. They'll probably get at least a 2-for-1 with their Sparkmage, but at least you can get a 2-for-1 right back and have a nice 3/2 body there to swing into them on the next turn (or stop a Vengevine).

Like Manic Vandal, not a bad deal for 3 CMC.
