It really depends,
I use him because he is a good 2 drop with 3 toughness, surviving early threats, because most things that early won't do more than 3 damage, and serving as a temporary wall and the exalted bonus.
He is an artifact creature providing some support in times against black.
And I have a playset of foil ones so they look cool by being in their X)

Very good 2-drop at common. On par with the blade cycle IMO. Swings as a 2/4 or pumps your attackers, and 3 toughness makes it much more durable than something at 2.

This card is clearly underpowered. If you can get a 1/1 creature with exalted for cmc1, why should you pay 2 mana from a different color to get a 1/3 instead ???
Compare this with Watchwolf or Qasali Pridemage.
It seems this card has to suck just because it is blue instead of green.

I agree, also it is a 2 drop KNIGHT which means it ought to be 2/2 not 1/3 :(, the being a blue/white artifact exalted kinda benefits an esper deck...depending on your style of play.

To me, if this card had high Toughness it be useful, but it's not.
