A lynch-pin of one of the most competitive decks in Standard right now. Absolutely destroys worlds when combined with Eldrazi Con***ion.

Strong body keeps it from getting nuked too easily, and the Exalted is just gravy compared to its insane ability.

5/5

This card is perfect for my white and blue deck. I have steel of the godhead and armored ascensions packed into it.

It doesn't matter if your opponent is playing removal, since you're getting the aura for free.

On another note, pay no attention to the lack of flying - I believe the way that the current deck works is that you attack with a Birds of Paradise and throw the Eldrazi aura on them on the same turn that you cast these guys, which thanks to Lotus Cobras and such can be as early as turn 3 or 4.

Sovereigns is a wonderful exalted card that works in both an aura/buff deck and exalted (of course, a mixture works quite well). The lack of flying isn't a main concern, since you'll either be swinging with other creatures or be able to put whatever aura you want that has flying on Sovereigns itself.
Devastating with Eldrazi Con***ion, a combo which comes out on turn five if no mana ramp is used (though exalted decks with green have easy mana ramping capabilities).

Use with Renegade Doppleganger & the aforementioned Eldrazi aura to attack for 26 on turn 6 by making an a copy of Sovereigns when it comes out. I've pulled it off on turn 4 with a Springleaf Drum and a Mox Opal out.

Can't believe it doesn't have flying.
But other than that, oh yes. I want to put it into my W/U deck right now, particularly since it has Steel of the Godhead in it.
But still; I'm bummed about the no-flying bit. Give it flying and make it a 1/7 with Defender or something. I mean, it's blue...and a cloud.

Archangelion, with sovereigns you would be able to enchant Empyrial Archangel even though it has shroud. You just have the angel attack alone, sovereigns ability activates and then you put the aura on the angel. The aura enters the battlefield already attached, it does not target the angel so it bypasses shroud.

Steel of the Godhead makes a great target for this.
